Preparing Young Minds: Explore Grant Pre-K in Grant Parish
We're excited to offer public Grant Parish Pre-K programs designed to give your child a fantastic start on their learning journey! Our Grant Preschool focuses on creating a warm and engaging environment where children thrive and develop a lifelong love of learning, preparing them for Kindergarten and beyond.
Eligibility Information:
Eligibility Requirements
- Child must turn 4 year old by September 30
- Children with an IEP who will turn 4 years old by September 30th please contact Grant Parish Early Childhood Department (318-627-3274 Ext. 1128)
Required Documents
- Copy of child's birth certificate
- License/Photo I.D. of parent/legal guardian(s)
- Proof of Residence (2 of following- Current Utility Bill, Water Bill, Mortgage, or Lease)
- Proof of Income (need one of the following for each adult living in the residence)
- Two (2) CURRENT & CONSECUTIVE check stubs for EACH parent/guardian in the household within 2 months prior to the date of application
- An official letter from your employer stating total hours worked and rate of pay
- A statement from the Social Security Administration, if applicable
- If zero income, submit a Statement of No Income- listing the child as a recipient
- Declaration of Irregular Income if self-employed, etc.
- If applicable:
- Mckinney Vento Form
- Copy of Court orders
- Legal Guardianship paperwork
Pre-K Policies
- Attendance rate of 74% or more per month. Legal excuses are required for any missed days.
- General health and immunizations should be up-to-date
- Dress code should be followed as required by each school
